Nigeria’s Future Business Leaders Gear Up for CGMA Challenge 2024

Fifty-seven student teams from nine Nigerian universities are gearing up for the CGMA Business Leader Challenge 2024, a high-profile competition hosted by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountants (CIMA).

With support from Coronation Merchant Bank and Stanbic IBTC Bank, the event offers a chance for young talents to tackle real-world business issues and present their solutions to experienced finance and business leaders.

The competition challenges students to demonstrate skills in areas like business strategy, leadership, and critical thinking, preparing them for future roles in finance, accounting, and business.

Ijeoma Anadozie, Associate Director at AICPA & CIMA Nigeria, expressed excitement about this year’s challenge, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to supporting the growth of young professionals in these fields.

Reflecting on last year’s success, where 30 teams competed, Anadozie highlighted that this year’s event is set to bring even more enthusiasm, encouraging students to strengthen their teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
