General Admission Requirements for AAU
1. UTME Admission Requirements
- Age: Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
- SSCE Results: You need at least five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in O’Level exams like WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. These must be obtained in no more than two sittings.
- JAMB Cut-Off Mark: AAU’s general cut-off mark is usually 150 or higher, but competitive courses like Medicine, Law, and Engineering require a higher score.
- Post-UTME Screening: All UTME candidates must participate in AAU’s Post-UTME screening exercise.
2. Direct Entry Admission Requirements
- A minimum of two A-Level passes in relevant subjects.
- National Diploma (ND), National Certificate of Education (NCE), or equivalent qualifications with at least an upper credit.
- SSCE results with five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics.

Law
- UTME Subjects: English Language, Literature in English, and any two Arts or Social Science subjects.
- SSCE Requirements: Credits in English Language, Literature in English, and three other Arts or Social Science subjects.
Engineering
- UTME Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- SSCE Requirements: Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one other science subject.
- Direct Entry: A-Level passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
How to Apply for Admission to AAU
- Register for JAMB: During your JAMB registration, select Ambrose Alli University as your first choice and choose your preferred course. Make sure your UTME subjects match the course requirements.
