Avoid Fake Links! NDE Warns as Renewed Hope Initiative Gains Momentum

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has addressed misinformation regarding its Renewed Hope Employment Initiative, clarifying that the target is 93,731 participants, not the widely circulated figure of 900,000.

Edmund Onwuliri, NDE’s Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics, shared this clarification to ensure accurate public information as interest in the initiative grows.

About the Program

This employment initiative is specifically designed for unskilled and unemployed Nigerians, providing them with opportunities for skill development.

The program is open to applicants from every electoral ward across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with the aim of achieving balanced regional representation.

To ensure safety and prevent fraud, the NDE has specified that applications should be submitted only through their official websites, www.nde.gov.ng and www.nderegistrationportal.ng. The program covers training across 30 different skill areas, with additional provisions for women and individuals with disabilities to support inclusive participation.

High Demand and Extended Deadline

Due to a large response, the NDE has extended the registration deadline by 48 hours, giving applicants until midnight on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The NDE encourages applicants and the public to rely on information from official sources to avoid confusion and misinformation. This initiative is part of the NDE’s commitment to reducing unemployment by promoting skill-building opportunities across Nigeria.
