Tesla release new update for Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, but it seems like there might be a mistake

Tesla recently released a new update for its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, but it seems like there might be a mistake.

The update, called FSD (Supervised) v13.2.5.1, is supposed to be for Tesla cars with the new AI4 computer. People who own these cars with AI4 computers reported getting the update.

However, some people with older AI3 computers also got an update, but a different version (FSD v12.6.2). Strangely, the update notes for both versions seem to be exactly the same.

The update notes talk about improvements to Tesla’s self-driving system, like better data processing, faster reaction times, and smoother control.

Release notes for FSD (Supervised) v13.2.5.1:

  • Full-resolution AI4 video inputs at 36 Hz
  • Native AI4 neural network architecture
  • 4.2x data scaling and 5x training compute scaling (using the Cortex cluster)
  • Reduced latency from input to control by 2x
  • Speed profiles for both city streets and highways
  • Enhanced parking capabilities (unparking, reversing, parking)
  • Better collision avoidance predictions
  • Improved camera cleaning system
  • Smoother, more accurate driving controls
  • Dynamic routing that detects and displays road closures along routes

However, if the release notes are the same for both versions, it might be a mistake. Tesla hasn’t said anything about the update or the possible mistake yet.
